The Scientific Research Section (SWO) of the Dutch League Against Epilepsy is pleased to invite you to the SWO Midwinter Meeting 2026, bringing together researchers from across disciplines with an interest in epilepsy research.
Join us for a day of scientific exchange, new insights and collaboration, featuring presentations by experts in the field and opportunities for researchers at all career stages to share their work.
Keynote speaker
Prof. Gabriele Lignani

Besides the keynote speaker, the program includes a DataBlitz session with short presentations by young epilepsy researchers, talks by experts in epilepsy research, and interactive poster and discussion sessions.

Datablitz & Poster Session
We warmly invite researchers to submit an abstract for the poster and related Datablitz session.
The Datablitz session offers young investigators and PhD students an opportunity to present their research to the SWO community in a short, focused presentation.
Young investigator awards
Two awards will be presented to researchers under 35 years of age:
1. Best Basic/Pre-clinical Research Award
2. Best Clinical Research Award
The poster session provides an additional opportunity to showcase ongoing research, exchange ideas and receive feedback from colleagues across the epilepsy research community.
